RANE 22034-R FADER CARRIER to suit RANE 61 62 64 68 57MK2

This is the carrier assembly that holds the shaft of the channel/cross fader and runs on rods.

The complete No Contact Magnetic Fader mechanism is comprised of an injected Delrin carrier holding a magnet. This piece glides on two electro-polished stainless steed rods. At each end is a magnetic hall sensor, which reads flux density and translates this into proximity information.

The mixer’s microcontroller uses magnet proximity to manipulate the audio circuits.

Most of the drag and sticking issues can be traced to contamination on the rods and sometimes those pollutants can make their way into the crevices of the Delrin carrier. In those instances, it is practical to clean the rods vigorously with isopropyl alcohol and run the fader back and forth repeatedly, to purge the carrier opening.
