ROLAND JUPITER 8 FADER adaptor assembly.

First off we did not design this assembly. We found the gerber files and parts list on line and as we repair many Roland JP-8 including our own unit in our vintage synth collection, we chose to put these up online to make it easier for any other repairers or owners to get these parts with little fuss.

The feel of these faders makes the JP-8 so much nicer to program or jam on, the feel is so smooth and accurate.

For transparency the original design was posted two years ago by Z3Sounds. The PCB Gerber files are available for free here, the faders used are ALPS RS30111A602N and the PC pins are any 2.5mm pin such as Sullins PREC001SAAN-RC

The JP-8 uses 21 x 10KB 30mm slider potentiometers and one 100KA 30mm slider potentiometer for the Arpeggio Rate control. These fader adaptors will not work in the Arpeggio Rate position!

These need good repair skills to replace and you need to replace the flaking shade/dust material as well which you will understand once you get the panel boards out 😉
